Default Puffin in the evening sun

I took this portrait of a Puffin at Skomer Island just off the coast of southwestern Wales. Fortunately the sun was out one evening making it possible to take advantage of the soft light.

Canon 5D Mark III with Canon EF 500mm f/4 IS II USM.
1/1250 sec at f/5.6 and ISO 1000 (manual exposure)

    Kind regards
    Steen

Lovely soft light, and I like him emerging from the vegetation, for a bit of a different look.

I like the warm light and the framing with the vegetation. Good placement of the subject for the composition. I'd likely remove the lone brighter spot in the FG, near the belly, just to make for a cleaner look. Well done overall.
