    Default Flamingo head on3

Before the month ends here is one more flamingo head on image. I hope it gets more comments than the previous flamingo post:). Have a great weekend, photographers.

Nice detail and colors in this one and I too like the comp you chose. I like the head on stare but for some reason Flamingos heads look best in a side profile to me. Must be the big bill and the small eyes. Doesn't make for a personal contact for me. Nice work

An impressive flight shot of the flamingo at a good angle and a clean background.

The tiny head of the flamingo does not add power to the image - not your fault of course ... ; - )

However, I think you have done well though.

    Regards Steen

a beauty of a flight shot Lorant, i agree with the comments above, head on isn't as inviting as a side profile... what a wingspan, TFS.

Lorant, I am a big fan of your "not quite the usual" images. They are unique and always beautiful.

Then image fits the months theme well. Love the colours and the incoming POV.

Hi Lorant, I agree with Dave and Steen, the combination of small head on a long neck makes it difficult to make attentive images with this kind of pose, your techs are good but somehow this image isn't rocking for me

Hi Lorant, I think this is one of the most difficult subjects for the 'down the barrel' theme and suggest you have done as well as is possible with this flight shot. One of the extraordinary qualities of flamingos has to be the highly specialised bill which unfortunately gets hidden when viewed head on. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks guys for all these comments and inputs. I agree, it is a special and unic bird with a long body and small head....that is why I find these unusual views interesting, but for sure these aren't the most appealing. Thanks again.
