On this particular stretch of beach on our recent trip to Iceland, there was a tremendous amount of feeding frenzy of their young between the Ring-necked Plovers and the Arctic Terns. The young Arctic Tern Chicks were up in the dune flowers and grasses, while some of the Plover chicks were running around on the beach. Very tough to pick which activity to concentrate on, so it was a challenge to try and capture several behaviors. While observing several Arctic Terns flying low, with fish and food bits into a spot up in the dunes, I noticed a small head pop up. I moved up above the spot and found vantage point clear to some degree, of grasses. At least one more frame to come in the sequence. C&C welcome as always.

Love the calling pose you have captured with this shot Geoffrey, cute little bird among those flowers which looks really good, that strand of grass above the birds head bugs me a bit but that's wild natural bird photography,it's a smashing image that I like a lot.
Hi Geoffrey, cut chick with sharpness and fluff! habitat is a challenge with such a wee one, however I would suggestions moving the chick to the right and cropping from below, less blurred flowers. more of a pano crop. I like the canopy of grass, it is what it is! a sweet screaming cute tern! well done.
Sharp and calling. With the one curved grass over its head I do not mind the centered COMP here.

Nice Geoffrey. The blurred foreground leads the eye to the sharp, nicely posed chick. If mine, I might crop a little off the right side, but this is very nice as is.
A very cute (if anguished) chick. Great calling pose and nice habitat. Another crop possibility might be to take a bit off the right and a bit off the top. But nice frame as posted.
