The Terns this year at our local wetlands are in huge numbers. This is a head on shot of one of the thousands of birds returning to the colony. Thanks for looking and your CC's. Nikon D5, 600mm, F5.6, ISO1600, 1/3200 sec. Hand held group focus tracking.

Nice one Glenn (as noted above by Arash) as expected. Is this a crop from the top?

Yes, crazy number of Terns this year, lots of fun for us. Excellent crop and placement in frame Glenn, I too really like the symmetry and arch of the wings. Very well done as always.

Nothing to dislike from this image, Glenn. The symmetry is nice. I will probably rotate it CW a little bit.

The symmetry of the wings really make this shot.
    The whites look great.

Awesome head-on flight pose! The fish adds a lot of interest too. If anything I would be tempted to darken the forehead a tad, but this is probably natural as is anyhow. Good stuff.

Great looking hat on frame Glenn and I really love the position of the anchovy. The comp is perfect with a bowed wings and I like the overall details. I agree with Daniel about reducing the highlights on the head. See you out there soon.

Fantastic head on shot. Fish is a super bonus. All has been said above; I love pretty much everything about it. Super well done.
