    I think this dragonfly is a Eastern Pond Hawk, if not I would appreciate help in identifying it. I captured this image at Circle B Bar Reserve in Polk County, Florida. Comments and critique welcomed and appreciated. Thank you for viewing.

    Nikon D7000
    Nikon 80-400mm F/4.5-5.6 VRII AF-S ED shot at 400mm (600mm FFE)
    1/250 F/11 Matrix Metering +1 EV ISO 400, camera supported by a monopod
    Center focus point active catching part of the head/eye against the sky, continuous autofocus
    Post processed in Lightroom CC and Photoshop CC, repaired two wings in Photoshop using the Patch Tool
    Cropped for composition and presentation

    Thats a gem Joe The thing I really like is the thin stem- and the detail on the beast too.

    Very nice indeed, I like the composition and the pose, the DOF and focus is excellent.
    Just out of curiosity you may wish to consider making the sky a little less bright and perhaps a little more blue?
