    Jim:

    Don't think I have ever seen a head on like this for a pileated before. Great wing flare, well exposed.

    Point of focus looks to be on the back, not the head, so a bit OOF there.

    Dear Jim,

    Pano orientation , head- on pose with speard of wings really stand out in this image .

    Blue color in sky can be toned down a bit for more pleasing results.
    And, critical sharpness is missing esp. on the eyes & head . Kindly check with focus point because I find the body area behind head more sharper than eyes.
