    Default Black Swans

I had the luck to stumble across a pair of black swans. They have managed to keep two cygnets alive. There are eels as big as me in the lake and are a constant threat to most of the birds there.

Basic adjustments in ACR. In PS cloned out a clipped cygnet LHS and toned down BG bright reflections. Hue/Sat layer to reduce magenta and blue on the adult.

What a sweet image. Great subjects, nice comp, and the water drops and touch of green add to it. I don't know if the red bill is still a bit too saturated?

Beautiful, Glennie! I like how the black tonality on this one and the soft warm light is really beautiful. I am torn if more room at the top will make the image better.

Nice to get both mom and chick, you did well with the low angle but I wish the water was calm, the brighter ripples are a bit distracting. I like the food item that adds a touch of behavior, but I wish the birds were separate (not overlapping) and had a better HA, ideally with some kind of interaction between them.

The WB for this shot is a bit off as the black swan doesn't look black (it's more like grey, a bit too light) and yes the bill looks oversaturated a bit.

I like the large piece of salad the swan is pulling out of the water. I also like the wee little guy feeding too. I agree the blacks could go deeper. Yes to a bit more room above, if you have it, plus at right to retain the ratio.

Eels as big as you?? Yikes!
