What a great pose with the little bow wave and the area around the bird about to re-fill. I think you could maybe go in a little tighter, losing some off the bottom, but this is a refreshingly different shot.
A nifty perspective Joseph.. you must have had your snorkel on. At first I thought I'd like it a little narrower, with a little less canvas at the bottom, but a longer look says the image benefits from the full width of the depression in the water around the coot.
Wonderful shot. Congrats on getting a great angle on this behavior. I think a wee bit from the bottom could be cropped but am not sure how much it would improve the impact.
I like the low perspective and the pose. A nice change of pace for a coot shot. If mine I would take some off of the bottom for sure. Too much dead space there for me and add to the top. Also seems like it could use a little clockwise rotation as well.
