    I like the diagonal pose working the frame diagonal, the level head/straight on gaze, back lighting of primaries and tail.

    I would consider adding just a sliver of canvas all the way around.

    Some of your adjustments have left the bird a bit flat and low in contrast. I appreciate bringing up the shadows, but this often results in a "flat image"

    I selected the lighter tones and ran a 30% overlay blend mode. You can do better on the original.

    Thanks Randy. I see the need for a little more canvas now that you pointed it out. Thanks for the input on the image being flat. I will definitely work on the original to see what I come up with. My PS skills are definitely primitive.

    there is something wrong with this image, it doesn't look like an osprey. The osprey underside is pure white, in all of the images above it looks grey, last one a bit better but still not there

    Thanks Arash. It has a pretty strong back lighting. Must be a white balance issue. I'll see what I can do on that.

    I may have gone too blue on the white balance. It may also be time for re-calibration.
