    My daughter lives in Key Largo and loves nature as much as I do. She saw this small bird catching and eating small fish in the everglades. She asked me if I could identify the bird and I can't. Can anyone assis in identifying the bird? Thank you very much!

    Looks like and Eastern Phoebe !!!

    I think it is an Eastern Phoebe. Around here they eat mainly insects.

    Yes, that is an Eastern Phoebe. They are a short-distance migrant in the United States and are frequent winter residents in Texas, Florida, and portions of others southern states: http://www.birds.cornell.edu/AllAbou...hoebe_dtl.html
