Default Scarlet eye - early morning loon

This fine fellow was imaged last week in Northern Michigan. It was a very still morning and the loons were cooperative. I liked the pose and the curves, and of course that wonderful eye. No saturation enhancement, just the way the light struck it.

    D4 f/5.6 1/800s ISO 1250 . Taken from my little boat "LoonieToo"

Post: Slight crop for comp. cleaned up a few spots in the water. Toned down the whites on the breast. The two bright streaks are reflections off the water.

    Advice and comments always appreciated.

The light struck it well Randy, and so did you. Fantastic pose, enhanced by the great POV. The eye looks immense and really draws your attention to the head area. Great colours throughout.

    Nice one and TFS

Lovely capture, Randy. Love that head turn and the lines of the water droplets on the loons head. Lovely light and BG as well.

Beautiful Randy. I might tone down the breast just a tad.
