    This image of a drake ring-necked duck was taken in May from a blind on a woodland pond. 40D, 500 f/4 + 1.4X, 1/500, f/7.1, ISO 400. I removed a few distracting elements from the background. Comments are welcome.

    Great capture Steve,
    I like the eye contact the water is superb; the details on your duck are razor sharp and the colors and hues are great...congrats...I like this one very much...:cool:

    love the low perspective and the head angle is great!! awesome detail in the bird. nice job!!

    Hey Steve,
    Great texture on this image. I like the overall color and especially the transition of dark FG water with blue highlites to blue water with dark spots in the BG.

    Great exposure control, details, angle and iridescence. I might put the bird a tiny bit higher in the frame.
