I have, over the past months, bombarded the ETL with Rainbow Lorikeets. So now it's the Avian's turn.

These are quite young rainbows. Their beaks are still quite dark along with their eyes. Shorter tails. Comical, expressive, little faces. I posted a similar one on the ETL a while back.

Slight adjustments in ACR. NR on BG in PS. Part of "perch set up" cloned out. Smart sharpened birds and part of perch for posting.

Birds come to visit in the mornings. Not lured, just fresh clean water.

    C&C welcomed and appreciated!

You posted some great images of these birds on ETL. What a splash of great looking colours. Nice pose and HA's on both birds. The perch and the BG fit nicely

    Well done Glennie.

A Great frame, they are really colorful. You had a good BG and the perch is appropriate as well plus both birds have a good HA. The slightly open beak adds a touch of behavior to the bird on our left. They can both use a bit more sharpening, looks like the critical focus fell on the chest of the left bird.

    good stuff! TFS

Thank you Arash. I've upgraded my PC and somehow lost DPP. I'll try and get it up and running again. It was most useful for finding those focus points!

Glennie, just download the latest version direct from Canon, just click on your camera body & OS subject to your computer, you may also want to update other elements too.

Glad to see you taken the jump and moved to here, well done, love the vibrancy of these subjects. Detail is looking good too.

    Steve
