Lovely shot. I like the balanced sky versus foreground.

Hi Morkel - I've looked at this a few times. Nice sky and reflection but I find the fg rocks a bit heavy (no pun intended) and not doing a lot for me. They also give me the impression of needing cw rotation even though the horizon looks straight. Just my thoughts.
TFS,
Rachel

Hi Morkel,
I like the scene but too much rock I feel.. I would chop off the bottom of the image at the bottom of the shadow of the rock, lower LHS. this might lighten the image overall and remove the 'heaviness' Rachel and i feel..

Hi morkel, but great detail in the fg and a good sky. I might consider lifting a bit the exposure on the fg, but thats just a personal taste.

Beautiful sky and such a dramatic scene, Morkel. The processing is really nice, too. That 14-24mm is really showing its resolving prowess here. But the split scene here, half and half, is not doing much for me either. I think I share Rachel's feeling of heaviness here.

Wonderful scene Morkel, my only suggestion would to do some dodging and burning on the rocks to ad a bit more tonal depth to them it might elevate the heaviness others are seeing.

Thank you, folks, for your honest crits.
I will play around with this some more!

Hi Morkel, this scene works as presented for me...I love a rugged, rocky foreground and wonder if you captured some horizontals of this scene with even more rock foreground showing...I think a horizontal here would work better than the vertical...nice work!
