    Default Leopard - lookout

Shot very early one morning just as the sun was rising, around 6.00am. The tree canopy gave/provided an excellent vantage point to view the herd of Impala that were slowly moving towards her direction.

Hi Steve - Nice warm light hitting the face and you exposed it well. I like the tail draped down the tree as well. The small branch just above the head isn't ideal but it is nature. I might crop a little off the top if it were mine.

the key lighting hitting the leopard on the bonker is what makes this - good call on keeping things vertical...
I agree with Rachel that you could shave some off the top?
Burning some of the highlights on that jutting branch above the feline's head might also help.

HI Steve -- I like the way the Leopard is intently looking and crouched itself. Going vertical has enhanced this frame and that beautiful light hitting on its face makes this one a special one .
I am fine with the way it is framed , giving the feel of the environment around it .

    Dear Steve,

Curious pose, Vertical composition and Soft light hitting on leopard face adds more interest to this image
I agree with sliver crop from above will make this more balanced.

And, I personally feel its hard to tame the same kind of bright spots ( sky ) between leaves .

What are your thoughts on Black & white conversion with this.

    Regards
    Saurabh

    Hi Steve,
Beautiful leopard. I still have to meet mine. The vertical composition give sense about the elevated position of the cat. I also think that the branch above her head is a bit distracting.
    Thanks for sharing,

Hi Steve a very sweet Leopard ,
i like the gazing view into the far ... checking out something .
Well handled difficult light situation , with good detail where it counts , paired with your usual high quality output .
Lovely warm colors and color depth .
Good choice of the crop and keeping the tail in the frame .
I still find the high contrast between the sky and the dark tree a bit too much competing and the leopard looks a bit lost , but that was not in your hands !!!!

Still a nice frame to look at .

    TFS Andreas
