    Default Ikebana

Interpretation of Chihuly's Ikebana displayed at the exhibit in Seattle. Diagonal blur partially done handheld in camera and then completed in post-processing. C&C are always welcome!

The colors are nice. Blurs are not my favorite type of photography, so I await comments by others.

I especially like the light and dark diagonals in the browns. In fact, I applaud your use of the strong diagonal. The intermixing of the colors above the browns is interesting, too. However, I'm not sure about giving the two equal space in an abstract. I think I'd prefer two images -- one principally focused on the browns and the other one using the other colors.

    Anita & Dennis, thanks!

I have a great apprehension about taking pictures of art work without re-interpreting it. And at the same time if it is no longer clear what I am re-interpeting, it is like quoting from a source without proper citation. I see what Dennis is saying about the proportion between the color and the brown. My line of thinking when taking picture of this exhibit was to make sure that both the boat and the load (colorful blown glass) show. Let me see if I can help the composition by cropping out the bottom.

Hi, Adhika, I love blurs and I like the bold colors of this one (and Chihuly's works of art!). I think just a slight crop from the bottom which would leave in most of the blue shape on the right as well as the brown will work. I think it would ground the brown better.

HI Adhika...I like your image! The colors are pleasing and the sense of motion is amazing. I do agree that a crop from the bottom should be considered
