    Default Common buzzard

    Hey everyone,
I just saw the theme of the month which reminded me of an image taken back in 2009.
This is a common buzzard coming at me in a cold winter day. The lack of sharpness of the image is due to the combination of 300 mm f/4 and a 1.7 TC which turned out to be a poor choice in that case. I did what I could to sharpen it. I know that the left wing is clipped but I really don’t like to add things.
    Equipment:
    Nikon D300s, Nikon 300 mm f/4 + 1.7 TC, f/6.7, 1/1600s, ISO 800.
    PP:
High pass and sharpening, a bit of colour adjustments to the wings of the bird.
Thanks for your comments and advices.

I like the incoming pose Kalin with symmetric eye eyes, well done with exposure. it's a shame his left wing was clipped, it distracts from the image and the face does looks soft to my eye. unfortunately there is no way of sharpening a RAW file that was soft to begin with and in this case it shows

To bad this isn't sharper because the pose it truly "straight down the barrel". Better luck next time.
