This image was created on the 2016 Japan in Winter IPT with the hand held Canon EF 400mm f/4 DO IS II USM lens and the mega mega-pixel Canon EOS 5DS R. ISO 800. Evaluative metering +2 stops off the grey sky: 1/800 sec. at f/4. Shade WB.

Center AF point (manual selection)/AI Servo Expand/Shutter Button AF as framed was originally framed was of course active at the moment of exposure (as is always best when hand holding.

Wonderful incoming flight pose, perfect exposure, and really clean detail. Love the background and composition, and the water droplets are a nice bonus. Excellent work Artie.

Nice looking incoming pose with those big feet hanging back as air brakes. The exposure looks spot on and I like the distant hills/trees in the BG. Nice comp and HA too. Well done Artie

Nice incoming flight pose. I like how the bird stands out from the background. Beautiful bird, thank you for sharing, Artie.

I really like the relation between the bird and BG...like the bird is painting or separating the space above and under the wings....the white area and the tree line with the water droplets. Nice work. Artie.
