    Default Great Egret Fly-over.

I was setup for another scene when this Great Egret surprised me when it appeared, low enough, from right over the nearby tree line. It surprised me even more when it angled to fly over directly above me. No time to adjust settings - shoot now, ask questions later. The image turned out to be quite over-exposed, but being white-on-white it was rather easy to tame in post by darkening parts and adding saturation to others. I also clipped the wingtip to our left so I added canvas, re-cropped to taste, and borrowed feathers form the opposite wing (and tweaked so they were not perfectly mirrored). I am happy with the final product, hope you like it!

Spectacularly well done on all counts. Love the high key. The bird screwed up perfection by turning its head slightly to it right. Otherwise you would have had a perfect look at both pupils. Maybe...

Really lovely image Daniel. I also really like the high key, and the transparent look of the wings. Terrific composition, very well done.

Hi Daniel, I like the high key processing. Nice work post processing, techs always spot on. I agree with Artie regarding the slight turn of the head. Thank you for sharing.

Pretty cool high key image Daniel. I like the way the wings melt into the sky and the good eye contact makes this one work well for me. Perfect comp too. Well done
