Very nice colour palette the bird is well delineated and defined.
I have some reservations over the background - there doesn't appear to be any depth of focus - have you blurred or heavily noise reduced the background in some way?

Only been cropped.. low iso kept the noise monsters away!
background is just the result of the shot no pp on it at all.

Mervyn I do like the way all the colours blend so well together making a very nice looking image, you have done very well getting this shy bird out in the open.

Nice colorful rail, low angle shooting and smooth BG. Nice you could get it out to the open. TFS.

First of all, good job on capturing what I have a feeling is a pretty elusive bird. Super IQ on the bird and you sure did get low. I have a feeling this image may need a bit of CCW rotation since it appears to be walking down but can't be sure. I find your BG rather pleasing here, and the color palette works well.

Great light with resulting rich colours. Good textbook book. I like the BG too, except I do wish the faint straight lines touching the back were smoothed out. I would also work on the brighter streak in the FG and the white spot next to it. Really well done overall, with the low angle approach working well to isolate the subject from its surroundings.
