    Default Another White Egret- Landing Dry

    Olympus E-500, Olympus 50-200 f/2.8, handheld
    Auto mode, J-peg img, f/5.0, 1/400, ISO 100,
    Edge of lake removed very top and lightened wings and neck using mask because of side lighting.
    The viewfinder is my guidance.

    Hi Bill Good detail in the whites, did well with the side light. Only a small part of head appears a little dark. I like the landing pose and can only wish you had some better looking water back there !!!

    Might be slightly tilted, would use ruler tool to check it out !!!

    Al, it may be tilted. I did straighten it by eye when I cropped it. Looked straight then. Cant do much about the water, thats the way it was.
    The viewfinder is my guidance.

    Nice capture on landing Bill. The eye is clear and sharp and so are the details on your bird...congrats...:cool:

    Neat landing pose. Adding to the other comments, there is a sharpening halo around the legs. Thanks for sharing!
