    Barn Swallow Crusin By

Spent a couple days shooting barn, tree, rough and bank swallows. My only problems were the fire ants and black flies.

Image shot at 1/1600, f7.1, ISO 800, using the Canon MIII and 400 f5.6 lens, no flash. Handheld using bushhawk.

    Thanks for looking

Wow, this has almost a 3D effect to it with the smooth water in the background. You even got a nice little head turn to boot. Well done!

Super job Bill. It takes patience and a little luck to get a great flight shot of a barn swallow. Looks like you had a little of both. The BG is a bonus. Thanks for posting!

These are such a challenge to capture and you did a superb job on this one. Love the flight pose and BG. Many thanks for sharing Bill.

Very cool capture, light, iridescence and BG. The look back helps since the bird already passed you. I like it a lot, thanks for sharing.

Neat image. The BG texture adds to the feel of speed on this.

I like this one a lot. Love the sharp bird and blurry background, excellent panning on this "bullet".
