Default WE MISS YOU ANDRE !

    Hello everyone ,

I dedicate this image to one of our most enthusiastic member of Wildlife forum, Andre . I am still feeling so sad for our big loss and especially for Gabriela who along with Andre had tried to help each and everyone on this forum with there images and inputs .

This is a young Tiger female cub aged about 12 months who was sitting alone near a tree as her other three male siblings always try to dominate her and gang-up against her . To me she really appeared sad and lost in her thoughts because of her current situation . Taken from the back of the elephant which is one real difficult vantage point , it always moves and handling the big equipment like the 500 f4 becomes real challenging .

DPP4,CS6, WB,Levels, selective colour, bit of gardening in the left hand corner, sharpening , FF .

    ss 1/1000, f/5.6,iso 3200.

All your C&C's are most welcome.

Hi Haseeb - I think we are all still feeling the shock of Andre's passing. What a cute tiger cub. I love the soulful look of the eyes. I wish for a little more room on the left but not sure if that was possible given you were trying to keep the paw in on the right. Watch the whites and blacks though. Some of the whites are hot and to a lesser extent the blacks choked. I think you did well from the back of a moving elephant but like with shooting from a moving/rocking boat, you needed a bit more ss.

    TFS,
    Rachel

A very befitting image here Haseeb, deep in thought, pensive, soulful, Andre would be most appreciative here I'm sure.

Agree with Rachel on some more room on the left if you have it?

    TFS

Thank you everyone ! No more space , it is a FF image . I too realised after shooting this one that ss should have been on the higher side .

Also , does the sharpening looks right to you , i was not sure whether it is just about right or a bit overdone ?

    110% agree Marc!!!

I might just back off on the Contrast and perhaps a little on the sharpening Hasseb, I think it is just boarding on the 'crunchy' side.

A sad-looking cub indeed, fitting image...
I agree with Steve's last comment, perhaps just back off on the sharpening?
Do show us some more images of this cute cub sometime, Haseeb!
