    Default Blackburnian Warbler

One of our more photogenic warblers in Nova Scotia, Canada. I only used Lightroom on this image, only needing some basic adjustments in levels and clarity, a bit above standard sharpening, and removal of one overhead branch. Very slight crop, about 80% of the original image size. The background is all natural.

Simon, this is so nice. I like the bird, the perch, the BG. Gorgeous! Composition is spot on for me. I simply can't find anything that would improve this image.

    Keep them coming.

Neither could I. I always admire people that have the patience to shoot these little birds and this is such a wonderful shot. As the old saying goes, good photos don't need anything more than a little nudge to shine.

What a gorgeous little bird! I admire your fieldcraft. Beautiful perch and BG, sharp and such wonderful colors! I love the orange in the breast.

It might be worth comparing it with a little more off the right, and maybe a small amount off the top. But with not much to balance the bird on the left side of the image, I wouldn't want to get it too far off to the side.

And maybe while obsessing, I'd wonder if there is more detail to be found in the lighter yellow areas toward the back of the head.

Those are very small points, though -- would love to see more from you -- the terns you posted in the thread about custom settings were wonderful!!

SH and EXP right on. The perch is quite large for the small bird...
