    Default Peregrine Falcon Takes Flight

Here's a frame from the 2 mornings I spent in Southern California shooting with Dave Salem and Glenn Conlan recently. It's a spot that I've been visiting for the past 7 years to photograph Peregrine Falcons. Even thought the juveniles had fledged, we still had plenty of action. I caught this bird just as it was launching off of a steep cliff.

Glad you had a good shoot while you were down here. I love shots like this and you caught this beautiful eyas at the peak of the take off action. Nice colors, details HA and comp. Like I said, you got really lucky on your tip. Well done

Beautiful lighting and a wonderful pose it is good to see the two wing surfaces side by side.

With perfectly rendered shades of grey/blue here you've matched this bird into just the right colour of BG Doug. The pose reminds me of an Olympic diver at the moment of strike on the springboard.

Love the powerful take off pose. The rugged cliff adds much to the image. I'd be tempted to suggest taking off a sliver on the right to show more of the powerful pose. ZLoi
