    Taken last week,did not notice it till today,going through my files,thought it may be ok for the theme,cannon500mm L,F4,IS,MK1,5DMK111,TRIPOD,1/4EXT,FL700MM,ISO800,F6.3,1/1600S,SH,SHARPENED,CROP.

    Looks like you pretty much centered this one in your focal range Chris, with perfect focus on those lovely yellow circled eyes and only slight OOF at the tail tip. This is a magnificent BG for this bird, both for your combo purposes and for his own camouflage. I'll bet he would be hard to spot if he hunkered down .

    Like the eye contact and sharpness Chris. I also like the rocky habitat. A lower shooting angle (if possible) might have provided a smoother BG for a larger portion of the bird.

    Love the bird and I am fine with all the rocks. Getting lower would lose the feet and it would hurt lying down on those rocks :) What bug me most is the off-angled light from our right, thus the shadow of the bill on the bird's upper back and the right half of its face in the shade. You handled the light as best as you could.
