Default Least Tern - few minutes old chick

I have been spending a lot of time with this colony. Today I got a gift from Pachamana....I was there when this chick was born. So that makes me tern godfather. I cropped to vertical and lightened/reinforced the white line catchlight in the eye.

Sweet. It pays to be at the right place at the right time; and to be ready with the skills when the moment occurs. Well done.

Lovely, very tender image. I really like the head position of both adult and chick. Thank you for sharing, Lorant.

Lorant, this is beautiful. The look of motherly love and the look of exhaustion from a chick who has miraculously made it out of his shell. It's amazing to think how fast that chick will grow and fledge.

Obviously not an easy capture to achieve, and I think you've presented us with a pretty special image under difficult circumstances. Love the way the adult is looking so adoringly at it's newly hatched chick. Just a small suggestion. I would crop off the slim black line at the bottom of the frame.
