Felt like FLA this AM at Granite Point in Biddeford, Maine. The usual setup of see the birds and off they go did not happen. I found a large group in a salt marsh panne feeding: Snowys, Great Egrets, GBHs and one Little Blue Egret. This is a large crop from the 500mm on a M3 - handheld - 1/1600 at f6.3, iso200, ME, AiServo. Bob
I like the composition, Bob, unusual and very graphic. The head looks a bit soft though, partly because of the catch light touching both the pupil and the Iris, maybe you can work the eye a bit more.
Looks like your camera locked focus on the wing and not the eye (no surprise given how dominant the wing is in the frame). As Fabs said, reworking the eye will help tremendously. Thanks for posting!
