This image was created on the Isle of May, Scotland on the last morning of my recent Zegrahm's Wild Britain cruise with the Canon 400mm f/F IS DO lens and the MIII handheld. Exposure +1 1/3 stops off the gray sky (a bit less than usual overexposure because of a hint of sun and the faint backlighting. Though the bird were literally hanging right in front of us they were shifting too and fro and in addition, the 30mph winds made things tough, especially getting the bird in the frame! I needed to add a bit of wingtip here to the bird's right wing. Now it's off to Bonaventure for gannets! Back on 21 June.
