The BG on this image is the sea spray and mist, as per my last Arctic Tern image. I managed to get a better HA on this one.

Yes, now that is a pose to love! I also like the vertical composition. The pale BG works well. A bit of subtle noise can be taken care of, but this is certainly a fine tern image.

That's a beauty Will - keep them coming!
(Just a little surprised at the noise - was it slightly underexposed?)

Hi Will, agree on the above, seems things are really going great guns now, the 1DX is delivering and no worries about SS & ISO. I think you could have upped things to 1/3200 without too much ISO gain.

Very lovely the way the Vs of the tail and wings come together here Will and presented in a quite magical background.

Hi Will, well you certainly nailed this inflight pose, and very well captured, as these guys are quick. Love the curvature of the tail.

Beautifully captured. Love the head nicely framed by the wings; the fanned tail; and the lovely bg.

Much better is right. I really like the pose and HA on this one and the comp suits the pose well. Looks great Will. I would love to see you get fortunate enough to get some sunshine on these guys. It creates so much more color and detail. You will have to make a trip out to the states if your crummy weather keeps up Well done

Stunningly arresting, William. Beautiful curves in the tail, banking wing position, and good detail in the blacks. Could not have asked for a better BG. Well done.

Anytime William. Many BPNers have come out to see me over the years. I'm right next to Disneyland also so you can make a nice holiday out of it and get some great shooting in
