    Default Least Tern Takeoff

From Plum Island three years ago. Early one morning I found a tidepool where several terns were bathing. This one took a hop, skip and jump after finishing his bath.

    Bill:

This one is great fun, strong sense of action, but does make it stare at it for a bit to figure out what exactly is going on. Which isn't a bad thing!

Flying water, interesting pose, soft bg, all good. I might tone down the brightest whites on the rump just a bit.

Always fun to find a hidden gem.

    Cheers

I know how small these guys are so nice job catching the action. I like the flying water and the fact that we can see the eye really well. Looks like the beak is starting to get a little pixelated. Nice work Bill

Good action shot Bill. Water puddle and droplets take it up a bit and good whites too.

Bill i would be very pleased if I had taken this, think you have captured it perfectly, exposure and those water droplets make it for me.
