    Default Snowy Egret, Amazonian Rainforest

I wish I had thought to try a video. We were in our skiff, moving up a small blackwater tributary of the Peruvian Amazon. As we proceeded upstream, egrets and herons began coming from their roosts in the forest and flying ahead of us, until there were thousands of them leading us up the creek. This image doesn't really tell the story, but is just one of the multitude coming out of the rainforest to join his comrades, and reminding me what a spectacular moment it was.

Beautiful capture, Bill. Very sharp detail and handling of the whites. Like the dark BG, crop, and those yellow feet. Well done.

Hi Bill, you couldnt get any whiter for the theme - well exposed. I lile the raised wings, and those yellow feet pop so well against the darker BG.

It must have been quite a sight! Great capture on this one -- with the very interesting BG it tells enough of a story on its own. Gorgeous whites!

Nice whites, detail, action, nice contrasting background, showing the darkness of the forest around it, love the yellow feet!
