    Default lens calibration by canon

    hi all in 2011 i had my 600mm and 1div calibrated by canon does the lens calibration affect other bodies it just seems to be out of wack with my 1dx and 7d ii does canon change any thing in the lens with their type of lens calibration thanks all

    Lenses are calibrated when paired with a body. Different bodies may require different calibrations with the same lens. Having said that, I've rarely had the need to calibrate a lens-body combination, and I've shot an awful lot of them.

    All my gear is calibrated by Canon and from my understanding, the way they do it, it is totally different to the Menu options you have in the newer models like the 1DX etc. Also calibration can drift off, like a screen monitor.
