Lovely image, Jon. I guess my only wish if mine would have been for a background without the patches of sky, but the bird chooses where it is. Nice work, thank you for sharing.

I would have preferred the subject less centered, but I love the IQ and the pretty neat pose.

This is awesome, Jon. Love the IQ of this image, nice DOF and interesting BG. I'd prefer the bird to the left a bit to not to have it in the center too much. Well done.

Great flight shot. Perfectly exposed, with good detail. I also felt the bird might be better a bit to the left. But wish I had captured this one.

Hi Jon, nice to have the subject on the green, juxtapose to the sky. Colours look quite rich and I like the outstretched wings.

Is it the DOF, or have you run any Blur to the BKG, as the subject really stands out if you know what I mean, perhaps its having such a clear line between sharp & OOF.

Looks like Gigrin is coming up trumps, hope you don't runout of chick bits.

Lovely shot, tack sharp, nice BG. The far wing position is less ideal, but the near wing is great. My impression is similar to Steve's. The subject seems to be pasted on. Did you run NR on the BG and put the bird on a different layer? Loi

Loi I can't remember what I did precisely but I probably used detail extractor and if I didn't feather the selection perhaps that would account for the appearance.

What's especially striking to me is how the bird is separated from the soft background, I quite love that.
Add to that the perfect detail of the bird itself and a lovely flight shot and I can only say thank you very much for sharing!

    Kind regards,

    Robert
