Taken at Little Estero Lagoon a couple of weeks ago. The BG lended itself to be darkened so i took the liberty to try to completely darken it and make sort of a spotlight on the bird. I know it's a static image of a bird, but i thought it was pretty artful. For the Forns'. Thanks!!

    D300, Bigma at 500mm, f/6.3, 1/500s, ISO 200, -0.6EV.

Comments and critiques are greatly appreciated.

Nicely done Harold! Great detail in the bird; I like the beautiful pink set against the dark BG. Might be tempted to crop a little off the bottom. Thanks for posting!

Thanks Harold !!!! Sweet looking bird Particularly like the detail and how well the eye shows. Good head angle and bg !!! With the crop form bottom I can go either way, the pink sure looks good !!!

Thanks, SON, that is one artistic image. The black BG sets a very dramatic mood for the beautifully exposed bird. Proud of you!

Nice job on the BG, Harold. Personally, I wouldn't take any off the bottom so you don't chop the 'virtual legs'.

Great pose, details and head angle. I would prefer the BG to be a tad lighter, it seems I'm the only one. :)

Great picture, I always has problem exposing this species, you manage it well.
I will not change anything. Great details.
