Another show stopper William--I'm going to have to try some shooting at that ISO. I'm a bit surprised at the DOF you got, wing tip to wing tip---maybe the back tip a bit OOF, but not by much if it is. The thing I'm curious about is --should I be surprised?

Thanks for that Bob. I think the near wing is pointed more to our left than the far wing is. I was getting all my BIF at 5.6 that day, distance from target

Really great job with the exposure on this one. All the detail on the top wing and plenty in the underwing on the opposite side not an easy task.

Great moment and pose in the frame. Like the balance of BG tone & bird. I guess the sharpening is bit high. TFS.

    Will:
Love the action, talon out, bg with enough detail to help set the scene without distracting.

The whites on the far wing are overexposed, and I am seeing a fair amount of noise under the near wing and along the body towards us.

    Did you run any NR?

    Cheers

Thanks for the comments, much appreciated. Hi Randy, thanks for that, No NR on the bird, only the BG.

Superb detail and sharpness. Exposure looks good except for some slightly hot whites already commented on. The pose with the talons extended and beak half open lends excitement. Agree about the noise on the under wing. TFS

I like the pose and the BG but the image is very noisy with blown highlights. needs reprocessing
