    Taken early morning in beautiful light,cannon500mm IS,F4,L,1/4EXT,700MM FL,TRIPOD,5DMK111,F5.6,ISO1250,1/5000S,had not time to change settings,bird was very mobile.crop,sharpened,levels.

    Nice shot Chris, ther is good detail there. I feel contrast is a little high, the highlights under the wing are a tad bright and the darker plumage needs a little lift, I have used luminosity masks on your jpeg and it makes quite a difference, I feel going back to the raw would be better.

    Great capture of this lovely little bird and I like the way you have shown it in its environment. I love the golden hour light but agree with Jonathan that the contrast is a little too high. I would also pull the golden colour back a little. Very well done to get this close.
