The female is sitting on top of her brood, at least three of them. Here we can clearly see one, and a tiny part of another. I love the finishing touch this nest has - a duck feather to line the top! Tons of action, with both the male and the female providing good feeding behaviour ops - sometimes simultaneously!

Canon 7DII + 100-400L @300mm, manual exposure, evaluative metering, 1/200s., f/10, ISO 1600, 580EX flash @ -2/3 FEC, handheld from the top of a 4-foot step ladder leaning on a nearby tree, FF, NR to the BG.

Nice nest indeed and well chosen feathers from the birds. Pity for the branch in the back and front. Super use of the flash, nice DOF with the chosen aperture and fantastic skills on the ladder to pull this off.

Very cute image. Very nicely done considering how crowded with branches is this situation.

Nice colorful and detailed shot of this nesting female. The details and framing look great and I like the fact that we can see the chick a bit. Well done

Great job finding this! they are hard to find, much less finding one with a reasonably clear view! I can see a flash was used, I am sure that it was needed though as they like dark shadowy areas, but its not too bright and brings out the colors and detail nice.
