    Default Monopod for 5DS R and 300mm f/2.8 II

    Greetings,

Part of my effort to learn how to photograph smaller birds is going on bird walks at local preserves. I think having a monopod along would help get the camera and lens combination enough stability for a very sharp photograph. What do you think? And if you agree that it's a good idea, which monopod?

mono pod is a waste of time for bird photography IMO, either hand hold our full tripod. that lens is so light, just hand hold it

    good luck

Ditto Arash. At least a tripod can hold the lens in one place. A monopod cannot. Good on Arash on realizing that not everyone can hand hold the Big Whites as he calls them.
