    Default Least tern head on

One from yesterday, after the rain with overcast sky. The sun was actually behind the bird....but hidden behind the clouds. Not a huge crop this time:). C and C are welcome.

    Lornat:

You could have used this one for next months theme as well (down the barrel).

Amazing how slim and streamlined he is in this pose. Nice symmetry, trees add some depth, nice catchlight for a tern.

The centered comp works for this pose/approach.

    Cheers

Hi Lorant, nice head on pose. Perfect exposure. I like the tree at the bottom. Only wish that the bird is closer to the tree so that you could do a pano crop. TFS. Loi

Pretty neat, and I too like the inclusion of trees at the bottom. Loi's idea is rather easy to implement if you enjoy that type of processing. I could see a version with the blacks deepened a bit more.

Cool pose and head on stare too. I like it and it is sharp but I agree with Dan about adding some blacks or contrast as it looks a bit washed out on my monitor. Well done Lorant
