    Default I've arrived!?

I received my 4TH Gen Mongoose 3.5a today.

Mr Zeiss had my name engraved on it!

Maybe 4th Gen does that for everyone, but as far as I'm concerned, it was just for me.

After I opened the box and was able to stop the giddy giggling caused by seeing my name on the head,
    I had to try it.

The Hooptie Deux and I got a little one on one time today.

I put the Mongoose 3.5a on my Huge Gitzo Carbon Fiber tripod and went to work.

The head IMO is much more precise than the Wimberley heads.
I love how I has able to apply small amounts of tension to the pan base.

This is what might surprise some. I was using it with a Nikon AFS-I (the heavy one!)600mm and a D300 with battery pack.

I give this head 3 thumbs up!

I will prepare a review and comparison of the 2 gimbal heads.

    Jim,
That bit of bright light just below the "4th" is a little distracting :D :D
