I like the overall look of this, taken in Orlando at Disney Springs during a rain. Had to work on distort quite a bit but finally think I got it lined up. Worked on sky too. But I keep thinking the rain coming down looks more like dust on the photo. Opinion? How to fix it? Or is it ok?

The gray, the lighting, and the shadows all work very well together. The contrast in the middle umbrella and from the brighter light at the end of the street is just enough. The perspective is great, too.

To answer your question about the rain . . .
I don't think it's necessary to do anything with the drops that are already in the image, but I'd add more rain. I used to do that using a recipe I'd found online that used noise and motion blur. I think there's at least one free action out there, somewhere, too. My new go-to is a set of rain, snow, and stars textures from Belle Fleur.

There are four variations among the rain presets. Everything in the set is white on black, but applying the layer in Screen blend mode eliminates the black and leaves the white. The format of the variation I chose was horizontal, so transforming it for the vertical image elongated the drops some. I also stretched it horizontally to make them a bit wider. Then -- to make the rain stand out a bit -- I copied the layer and applied it at reduced opacity.

Hi, Hazel, I love the shadows! I like the added rain in Dennis' repost. I'll have to give the Belle Fleur textures a try

The addition of the rain by Dennis really brings out the mood in this image. Those shadows make this image compelling, as well as the big umbrella with the light panels. Very well seen and captured.
