    Large Red Damselfly
    Taken at the side of one of the three garden ponds. Obtrusive Sedge stem removed and retained one toned down a little. Few blurred insects removed from BG
    D71000
    Nikor 40 mm macro( About the only time I,ve used that lens for ages)
    500 ISO F11 125th sec
    About 70 % 0f frame
    PP Paint Shop Pro Curves
    Sharpen only for web reduction.

    Beautiful John very nice indeed, just a tad over saturated on my monitor but excellent.

    Gorgeous gleaming details in this, and a lovely composition of the long slender abdomen of the damselfly and the simple curved perch of grass. Great subtle bkgd with the green appearing as a nice base framing element, and that greenish color also repeating higher up in the bkgd unifying the image.
