This was in November 2014, found this image as I was looking at unprocessed images in Lightroom and remembered this month's theme . I was in Cape May by myself at this waterbody where the sunset was just beginning to throw up some really nice colors in the sky. A Blue Heron flew past with its color glowing. And then there were these swans, pretty much against the sun but I thought they looked very beautiful with the mood set by the sunset.

Nikhil:

Beautiful water color above, the front bird shows very well against the reflection. The back bird less distinct.

In a perfect world, would be nice if the water at the bottom was a bit cleaner.

Always nice to work the edges of the day, the light can be grand.
