Here is a much more traditional shot of a Grasshopper Sparrow. Taken on 6/10/16 at Negri-Neopte Grasslands in New Jersey. At this time of year these birds will find the highest perch and sing to proclaim their territory. Birds were tolerant of the local Field Sparrows but not at all of other Grasshopper Sparrows or of the local Indigo Buntings. Good activity to watch. Helps me learn more about this species.

Converted in DPP 4 using auto white balance. Single focus point on the open mouth. In PS I cropped, sharpened and applied noise reduction to background.
Personally I like this one better Issac. Love the calling pose. Very nice detail and the bird stands out well against the green BG. The perch looks nice and compliments the image. Was this a big crop?
