Here is another image from my shoot at the Aloe Nursery that I managed to capture a few weeks back. Although these birds are very busy flittering around Aloes to feed, they do end up in busy BG's, amoungst the Aloes, so this was a nice bonus to have a clear shot on an Aloe leaf.

Really nice picture Stu. Details look great and the head angle as well. I like the curve of the aloe leaf as well. Body angle is not ideal as I feel it is facing away but it stills works really well here. I also find the lines and pink spot in the background very interesting and adds to the image for me. Really like the nectar on the beak as well. Only thing for me would be that perhaps you can bring up the darks a little bit to show a bit more details.

Truly a precious image, Stuart!!! The perch is killer and your BG, pose and light all work together great with that unique perch.

    Stuart:

Striking as mentioned above, with outstanding perch, nice head angle ( which reduces the impact of the angle of the body away from us. Excellent composition/framing.

    Very well seen and executed.

    Cheers

Great shot, nice details, but would have preferred a slightly tighter crop.

What a little beauty Stu. The pose and the colors look great and I really like the Aloe perch. Well done, as usual.

Superb image Stu, right the way from the pose, through to the interesting perch, and that lovely smooth graduated background.

Well done Stu, the pollen on its beak really tells the story well.
