He is one more from Serra da Estrela (the mountains from my last picture). I wanted to capture the contrast in the mountain and the clouds moving in.

    What are your thoughts?

    Techs:
    D7000, 25mm f/11, 1/30s, ISO 125.
PP with luminosity masks and vibrance.

Hi Luis.. I think this is moody image and conveys nicely the feeling of clouds skudding past you... but I think it might lift a little if the lower left corner was just a little brighter. There is almost 50 % of the image there that is quite dark..

I would crop out 25% off the left side and work with the rest. It is a bit contrasty, but an easy fix.

I love the colors and contrast in this image. I agree that there is a bit too much dark area, but lifting those shadows may cost you the mood of this image.

Beautiful light, Luis! And, I think it would go really nicely in B&W, too since it is really nice study on contrast. I agree on the shadows a little too dark on the LL, but only a little.

Thanks everyone for your comments. I`ve lighten the bottom darker areas while tying to keep the mood. Here is the repost:

Hi Luis...nice work with the repost...I would recommend toning down the bright areas of the mountain as touch as well. I like Adhika's suggestion to try a B&W conversion too...contrasty scenes can work very well as B&W.

Hi Luis, I watched the original image on my iPad, which usually represents colors and tonality pretty OK. However, I'm now comparing the OP and repost on my calibrated monitor, to find out that I actually like the OP better, exactly for the reasons you state yourself for capturing this image!

Hi Kuis, I know late to the party but here goes I would tone down the highlights just a bit to lessen the contrast but still keep the mood you get from the darker mountains
