Photographed at the cottage last week. A dark and dreary day, but the birds always lighten up the scene.

Canon 7DII + 500mm f4 II, manual exposure evaluative metering, 1/400s., f/4, ISO 1600, natural light, handheld, FF, darkened pupil, lightened iris, NR to the BG. Audio used.

I love this picture Daniel. The bird on that mossy stump is just perfect. Background could not be better with that rich and deep green. Considering the ISO on the 7d2 you have done a fantastic job. I need to learn your tricks as I could never get a shot at ISO 1600 to be that sharp on my 7d2. I don't have a single negative thing to say or pointer. I'd be thrilled to have a shot like that of a Pine Warbler.

A lovely shot under dark conditions. Great perch and pose, with a beautiful deep forest background. Stopping down several stops would have made it even better but alas, you didn't have the light.

Beautiful pose and detail, as usual! I'm wondering about slightly cooling down the perch.

Hi Dan, the Warbler really pops against the clean BG, and I do like the moss covered perch.

Lovely image as usual Dan. What I like about this one most, is the colour of the bird against the BG. Very nice

    oooh...I like this!
Great perch and excellent HA and body position.
BG greens have enough variations to keep the greens from overwhelming the image.
I like the details in the feathers and the little whiskers by the beak,
    Gail

Great looking image Daniel. I like the BG and the perch as the colors go with the bird well. Details look killer. Well done
