    Default Snowy Skirmish

It seems there is always one cranky Snowy Egret in a group but rarely two, but when there is they provide a unique but short lived opportunity
to catch a few frames. These two were going at it 30 feet in the air and it was an beautiful display of fighting behavior, neither one seemed hurt or even victorious.

    Thanks for looking.

What a classic fight pose these guys are giving you Tim. You did well capturing the action at the right moment and the details and exposure look great. Nice that we can see both eyes visible and the thrown out foot looks cool too. Well done

Very nice composition. Good detail and the white is perfect. Is it a crop ?

    Dear Tim,

A very warm welcome to BPN

Awesome capture, great timing and wonderful pose from those two characters "dancing" in the air!

Wonderful composition and presentation. Nice techs by the way, good DOF and great SS to freeze the action, whites well exposed. I particularly like the behavioural aspect captured here with the two males showing off those erected head feathers, necks extended and about to lunge at each other - what amazing display!
Wonderful work, this is well processed, I certainly look forward to more

    Kind regards,
    Gabriela Plesea

Excellent frame Tim, it's not easy to come up with a keeper snowy frame, here you capture the interaction perfectly and both are nice and sharp. I might warm the image a tad to reduce the slight boyish cast. It was great meeting you at Bolsa the other day
