I shot this Cute little Sanderling in Texas City, Dike Last week.

Nikon D500 using Skimmer pod (Crawling on the ground)
Sigma 150-600 sport version at 600mm
ISO 800, f/8, 1/5000 sec

Minor Post processing

Lightroom:-

• Corrected Horizon
• Exposure +20
• Used Radial Filter to show reduce exposure in the top of the image
  
  • Exposure - 35
  
  
• Whites +23
• Black +1
• Clarity +25
• Vibrance +30
• Spot Removal to remove dust spots

Photohop Elements:-

• Brightness Layer
• Level Adjustment Layer
• Cloning to remove dust spots
• Dfine2 - Noise Reduction

Looks like he is getting set to run a race! I like the pose, exposure looks good, I'd like less OOF sand in the foreground.

Agreed with Warren's observation and I would warm this up a little bit. The white on the bird is a little on the cooler side.

I reprocessed it and added a little bit of warmth to it. I really like this one much better than previous one.

I like those colors better Krishna, and hope you don't mind, I did some cloning of the sand so there was not so much OOF sand in the foreground to see how it would look. Probably some additional careful work could get rid of any pattern that the cloning introduces.

Beautiful bird well captured. I can sense your quiet waiting, hunched low for a great POV. The PP suggestions from Warren and Adhika are spot on, and I could not think of a way around the issues. But their suggestions worked, and you moved further along in learning. Thank you for this. Is this beach usually productive for you? Hopefully we will see more photographs from there?

Thank you for the comments Jim. I had seen lots of pics taken in this place (Texas City Dike) in Facebook Texas Birds group. I always wanted to go there and was able to do so last week. Sadly I am leaving Texas and going to Utah.

This is an excellent location for shorebirds year round. It will be a real treat to visit this place during Spring migration.

Beautiful! Lovely bird, sharp details with great action. Excellent low angle. I might question is whether whites came up a bit too far and lost some detail, but that's a very minor point. I might crop just a bit from the top and right, but not much. The warmup is nice.

I think trying to restore detail to the FG by cloning is a very difficult thing to pull off, and if attempted it should be softer focus toward the bottom. I might try a Structure slider (Viveza has a good one) or possibly Dehaze in LR CC. Then mask the effect carefully to blend with the more in-focus areas in the bird's plane.
